weaving

Weaving is the oldest craft and one of my favorite. I like the meditative rhythm. I often experiment with different natural materials. Wherever I travel I explore the materials and techniques locals are weaving. I started learning basket weaving to master the technique. After I felt safe enough I spread my wings and started making sculptural baskets. I am now at the stage where weaving is another technique in my repertoire and I incorporate weaved sections in my sculptures.
